Dear Tilapias,
This Monday, we feature a double bill of Westerns:
8pm - Way Out West (USA 1937).
Classic Laurel & Hardy comedy, in which Stan & Ollie get duped by a wicked pub owner and his evil mistress (sounds a bit like Tilapia!)
More info here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0029747/
Note that this is a coloured version, which may offend die-hard fans of the old black & white…
9:15pm - True Grit (USA 1969)
Classic Western of the ‘mean’ 60s. John Wayne plays a tough-arsed, whiskey-drinking marshal, bent on tracking down a killer in territory only the Injun feels comfortable in. Saddle up, boys, it’s gonna be a rough ride!
Note: was remade in 2010 by the fabulous Cohen brothers, but you can’t beat the original…
