The Annual Independence Trade show by Uganda Manufacturers’ Association which started last week closes today, Monday 10th of October, 2016. The trade show was many things loud, colorful, delightful and maybe even stressful for some claustrophobics but whatever it was for you, we hope that you at least enjoyed some of your time at the annual event. Those of us who ‘follow’ the Ghetto president’s activities on social media including his beautiful wife Barbie Kyagulanyi might have been lured into the excessively crowded trade show just to get a feel of the overly hyped Radiant beauty Products stall that the young woman did such a great job of selling! Radiant, a top cosmetics company in Uganda officially opened their new stall to the public at the 24th Uganda International Trade Fair.
We stopped by to find out what Radiant had to offer. Oh, the kids at this stall were such a delight, I tell you! Not to mention the healthy gift hampers, but I digress. The Radiant UMA stall was launched and opened up to the public in a grand ceremony, grand in all ways possible. I mean, who didn’t walk away with something wonderful? Speaking at the event, the P.R Manager for Radiant Mr. Ibrahim Karemera said “To Radiant this stall represents a journey of innovation, adherence to quality standards and consistent meeting of customers needs from the beginning, in the never ending efforts to make them look good and feel great.”
The trade fair is multi-sectoral trade exhibition of a variety of manufactured and agricultural goods and services; from all over the world. The objective of the trade show is to open new markets for exhibitors in Uganda, the East African
The Hon State Minister for Trade Mr. Werikhe Kafabusa who was the Guest of Honor at the ceremony commented that, “I’m happy Radiant is using our local resources to provide employment to our youth it is for this reason that Trade fair is very important to Ugandan companies.”
The trade show is attended by a multitude of Ugandans and foreigners from over 40 countries. Over 2000 exhibitors and over 00,000 visitors are expected at this year’s trade show. Visitors range from School students, corporates, civil servants, the business community and the general public.
This year’s theme is “Empowering Women Parity in Manufacturing” is inline with Radiant strategy of offering quality products to women who appreciate class , making the trade fair even more important as a platform to engage with our target consumer who is a woman of class added the Radiant PR Manager Mr. Karemera
