WHAT IS THE JINJA MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE AND RIDE?
The Jinja Mountain Bike Race and Ride is an unique fundraising #Ride4 bicycles for school girls in Uganda. It's a 30km Race and Ride through the trails and villages on the banks of the mighty white River Nile. It is definitely more than another bicycle event. It’s a celebration of cycling, of having a good time on the bike. And by having a good time on the bike you will support the bicycle projects of Cycling out of Poverty. The proceeds of the event will go to supporting girl students in Uganda to improve access to education with bicycles (#Bike4School).
You can participate and sign up for the Race and Ride, you can also consider booking a Weekend Package during the Nile River Festival 2020 including the Race and Ride, accommodation, and other spectacular events (Weekend Packages will be shared later). But you can also participate and decide to also do an #LeaveNoOneBehind fundraiser with the goal to raise US$200 for Cycling out of Poverty in the build-up to the Jinja Mountain Bike Race and Ride. We will help you set up a personal crowdfunding page and support you in reaching your goal to raise at least US$200. Doing the crowdfunding will make you become part of the Cycling out of Poverty family and will also provide you with some extra benefits, like a free Cycling out of Poverty cycling jersey, access to exclusive facilities at start and finish, pictures of the event, and an Award of Appreciation (in the form of personalised proof which school girl in Uganda you have supported with a bicycle). Get in contact with Cycling out of Poverty Uganda for more information about the #LeaveNoOneBehind fundraiser: email@example.com.
