21st of July is Belgium's National Day, and as The Pony has a Belgian touch, why not celebrate that with a home grown artist?
Martin is a troubadour, a writer, a singer songwriter, a storyteller and avid traveler. He's been a musician since the eighties and has regularly performed alongside other singers & artists all over Belgium. The last few years he's traveling between Belgium and Uganda, his second haven, giving guitar & poetry workshops for Ugandan youth. As he aims at being a genuine performer
taking his audience on a trip around the world through poetry and music, his texts are both playful and serious, never denying his open global mind.
'Tales of a traveler' is a poetic and musical evocation of the numerous travels that brought Martin to all corners of the world. In a jazzy/bluesy/traditional/Latino and French-Dutch chanson atmosphere, he brings own compositions & poetry, but also arranged covers of known and unknown artists.
